Reflections

Our dark times – the pain and the lessons that repeat themselves – are necessary parts of our soul’s evolution. Darkness creates the contrast required for light to be recognised, for without darkness, light cannot truly be seen.

Switching on a torch in the middle of a bright, sunny day does not have the same effect as switching it on in the darkness of night. The purpose of light is to illuminate the dark.

When we consciously choose to seek the light by focusing on growth, compassion, hope, love, we give it space to emerge, to be witnessed, and to shine more brightly. Within the darkness lies the opportunity to discover the light of consciousness that already exists within us.

Only In Darkness Can The Light Be Seen

Action Through Clarity, Not Urgency

This is something I’ve learnt the hard way – over and over again – especially when faced with situations I define as difficult or overwhelming. I finally get it. Not every problem or challenge needs to be solved right away. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is to sit with it. Let it exist in its raw state without rushing to resolve it.

The situation is real in the present moment. There's no doubt about that. So this is not about pretending it doesn’t exist or that it doesn’t matter. It’s about facing the discomfort of it and accepting it, first and foremost. This grounds us into the present. It allows us the space to feel and reflect before jumping into action. From this place of inner stillness is where clarity is given the opportunity to bloom. Accepting the moment as it is – without the pressure to immediately change it – we’re able to approach the situation from a place of understanding, not the energy of panic or fear.

‘Trusting the process’ is easier said than done. I get it - I’ve been there (and sometimes still wrestle with it). It's not the easiest thing to put into action, but trust is the greatest release. Each and every time I feel the anxiousness to fix a situation, I remind myself to pause first. Believe me, this gets easier and more natural with practice and conscious effort.

I honestly love the feeling of being able to let go of the need to control everything. I now trust that the universe has its own rhythm and timing, and it will unfold in a way that is aligned with my highest good and when I’m ready to receive it. Even though it’s not immediately clear in the present.

When the time is right, the next step appears. Action comes from a place of clarity and alignment and not from the reactive place of fear or urgency. The difference is profound. Acting from a calm, centred place always gives better results than acting out of panic.

It starts with a conscious choice to live with ease, intentionally.

When you decide to stop struggling against what’s happening around you, everything begins to rearrange and align to ease.

Life doesn’t require self-sacrifice to support the journey. When you begin to trust and live in the energy that life is supportive and flows easily for you, things get simpler and opportunities start finding you instead of having to chase them. Work becomes more efficient and enjoyable. Your nervous system relaxes and feels safe to receive.

Your body already understands this language. Breath moves effortlessly. The heart knows its rhythm. Healing happens without force. Life is always holding itself together. Tension and constant stress is not our nature. We were meant to live in beauty, presence and flow.

Remember that the story you tell yourself matters. If the mantra is, “Life is difficult,” the nervous system and brain will always be in fight-or-flight, on alert mode, trying to find proof of this. If, instead, you’re telling yourself, “Life supports me with ease,” the brain searches for that instead and your awareness will start noticing proof.

Work with life, not against it. The brain will start to look for ease-based solutions for everything and will begin offering solutions based in ease and flow rather than survival.

If you find yourself always pushing, always tired, always forcing, consider this your invitation to step aside and allow life’s momentum to move with fluidity. Life already knows how to expand. Your role is simply to allow it and stay in rhythm. When you do, things meet you without effort. Ease opens the door to joy.

Choose differently. Everything begins with a sincere decision.

Life is Supportive and Flows with Ease

Removing the mask

Suffering is akin to a mask believing it is the face. Awakening begins when we remember we are the one wearing it.

With this awareness, the way in which we view pain or suffering suddenly transforms. We begin to realise that they are merely a tool for growth. It invites insight, without which we rarely ask the deepest questions.

Everything that happens to us is evolutionary. It serves our growth. The key is how we move through the experiences. We only make it heavier by trying to resist it. Resistance creates pressure.

When we begin to release this pressure, we notice that what is happening is actually happening outside of us. It is not who we are.

Don’t identify with the pain.

When we stop identifying with it, we separate ourselves from the experience. Suffering then becomes just an interpretation of information. Learn from that information and grow from it.

Better yet, take off the mask. Remember who you are.

When we enter our new chapter in 2026 with a sense of gratitude, that is the foundation from which our Highest Self thrives. That is the secret.

According to numerology, we are ending a 9-year cycle at the end of 2025. If we allow ourselves to briefly think back to 2017 when the cycle started, and from there, have gratitude for everything we went through and where it has brought us today, we would find out that there was a version of us 9 years ago that wanted to be where we are today!

So as this 9-year cycle of transformation and completion ends with the year of the snake shedding and metamorphosising, we transition into 2026 and the start of a new 9-year cycle. The 2026 year adds up to the number 1, representing new beginnings and fresh energy. Coupled with the year of the horse representing speed, our manifestations are determined to come into fruition with full speed ahead. There is no need to chase. We just have to take some time to pause and honour how far we’ve come, to recognise the resilience mastered, the lessons endured, and the wins gained. Just being in gratitude for the versions of us that got us here today and that still carries us.

Gratitude grounds us in the present so that the doors to can open and we can step into our next chapter with grace and ease. This moment, this version of us, is the foundation of our future, Highest Self.

You are more than worthy for what lies ahead.

The secret to stepping into your Highest Self

Why does walking the spiritual path seem so lonely?

The spiritual journey is a lonely one is because it changes the way you connect with people. Conversations start feeling surface-level. The way you measure success and your motivations shifts. Those motivations once rooted in status, comparison and external validation, don’t hold any grip anymore. Your day-to-day, the things you once found meaning in, now don’t have the same definitions.

As the awareness in you deepens, your inner reference points begin to shift. You’re transcending lower density frequencies and patterning and attuning into higher vibrational states of awareness and existence. This transition therefore gives you a sense of separation, even though you are physically still among others.

Walking the spiritual path feels lonely in the beginning. Spiritual growth is an inward journey. The work happens in silence. No one can walk it with you in real time. Even gurus or those on similar paths can only point the way. The actual work must be done alone, by you. That can feel isolating.

Over time, however, loneliness gives way to a different kind of connection. You may have fewer relationships, but they will be deeper ones. Your tribe, those aligned to the upgraded frequencies you now emit, will be drawn to you. But first, you will have to become at ease and comfortable resting in the stillness within yourself, in that spacious void, in the presence of awareness.

Have faith and trust that this time of loneliness is just a sign that something greater is alchemising for you, so that you will be able to embody a more authentic way of being. It is a necessary part of your soul's evolution.

Awakening (or enlightenment) is not about attaining a special state. It is the great remembering, a waking up to the knowing that we are - and have always been - one with universal consciousness energy, just manifested in physical form.

When we wake up to this understanding, we realise that we've really just been a character in a video game all along. We suffer on the physical plane, believing we are this character. We identify with the conditioned patterns of thoughts, emotions and behaviour of this character. In doing so, we've created suffering for ourselves and others. When we finally recognise this and decide to exit the game, our character doesn't exist anymore, and we see ourself for who we truly are.

Enlightenment is being lit up with the realisation that we have been living from an egoic pattern of consciousness. Once we wake with this awareness, we have awakened, and we realign to that state of pure bliss and peace that has always been our natural state.
